Jess Craven made the most awesome video of our learn to brew day event at the Maui Brewing Production Facility. Please take a couple minutes and check it out! The event was a huge success. We had 8 brew stations going and about a dozen first time brewers. Maui Brewing Pub donated pizza for lunch and the tasting room was serving up great tasting beers.

What is the GABF Pro-AM Beer Contest?

All entries are brewed by professional craft brewers in collaboration with American Homebrewers Association (AHA) members. Homebrewer recipes are scaled up and brewed at a GABF entering brewery for submission into the competition. Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded to the professional and amateur brewers of the top three entries submitted to the competition. Pro-Am competition judges are from the same professional panel of world class judges that evaluated all beers at the Great American Beer Festival.

Aloha Fellow Craft Brewers of Maui,

Team Kostanoski (TK) invites you to join them at their home in Makawao for a Brew Maui Brewtogether this Saturday.

We will start boiling water at noon and we estimate pitching yeast around 5-6 pm. The plan is to brew Irish Ales in both an all-grain example and an extract example. This is meant to be both a social get together as well as an informative, “how to” session  . . . . . . please bring a pupu and beverages to share along with some form of sitting device.

Their home is located at 635 Hoene St in Makawao. Sorry, no dogs allowed.

P.s. –  If you are interested in bringing your own equipment and brewing a batch of beer during the event, email Greg directly (greg@dakoz.com) to coordinate. See you then!

Cheers.
